Manager - Gaming Systems         5th February 2010

NZ Lotteries is a dynamic organisation whose flagship brands Lotto, Big Wednesday and Instant Kiwi are household names. Its high level of innovation has driven significant sales growth over the last few years - and at the heart of this are its technology platforms.

The Manager, Gaming Systems is a newly created role that has full responsibility for managing the operational support requirements of the NZ Lotteries Gaming Systems. This includes responsibility for successful completion of all draws, change control, process improvement, incident management, release management, operational monitoring and second level technical support.

This role has responsibility for key staff involved in the day to day operations of our gaming system environment. You will report directly to the CTO and be part of a highly motivated team of IT professionals.

Essential ingredients to fit this role include:

• A high level of operational experience ideally within a real time transactional environment

• Strong people management skills – including leading and coaching staff to a high level of service

• A proven track record of achievement within an organisation where people are recognised for effort and delivery

• A solid background working with Best Practice standards and policies and procedures.

• Excellent relationship building skills.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess an extensive background in operational roles with a broad range of responsibilities. Instigating process improvement initiatives will be an important part of your role and your ability to interact with all levels of the organisation and third parties will be paramount.

We are looking for a team player with energy and drive who enjoys managing their own area of responsibility.
